So there I was, just over a week ago, pleasantly buzzing on Iron Horse fizz, and set to move from the opening drinks at the Foodbuzz convention across the street to the Ferry Building where a series of the city's best street vendors were laying out supper.

Did Foodbuzz hold a food blogging convention, someone just asked me? Oh yes they did, and I was one of some two hundred and fifty attendees.
I think Midtown Lunch and I formed the entire New York delegation, exemplifying quality rather than quantity. The west coast was well represented, but so was Texas, and there were writers present from Alaska and Australia too.

[At Pig at Large by Wilfrid: April 20, 2009]
I will always have Paris. With rumors that the Titanic sails at dawn, and domestic prospects rarely gloomier, it seemed appropriate to return to the city of lights for a few days of inexcusable profligacy, over-consumption, and indulgence.
The trip was also a celebration of a milestone for me. While I look forward, of course, to all tomorrow's parties, I fear the author is right who said "Never again will we drink so young."
