A big hunk of blue from the cold cabinet at Alphabet City Beer Co. This was the Crater Lake Blue, one of a number of blues created by Oregon's Rogue River Creamery.
Raw cow's milk, and a multiple award winne.
Just back from the store, it was sweating it up. This hasn't been good cheese weather.
I like to match the fruitiness of a big cheese like this with a full-bodied red, but of course you eat with chilled white, beer, cider, or any fortified wine. It's very forgiving.
